Hello! I hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays and was able to spend time with the people that matter most. Campus Life has gotten off to a great start this new year. Mandy and I, along with our volunteers, attended a “Volunteer” Conference in Oregon, Illinois the 9th- 10th of January. We received some excellent training from Cadre Ministries about “Building Relationships” vs. “Running Programs”. During our small group time we had some excellent discussions with Todd and the Bushnell volunteers. We were able to share our lives, joys, and even our struggles. It was a great time of renewal and will help us all get a fresh start for the new year.
We took two of our students to Winter Jam 09 on the 23rd where we were able to enjoy a praise and worship concert featuring Newsong, tobyMac, Hawk Nelson, The Afters, and others. Mandy and I have been building relationships with the students that attend CL and CL-M, and also with students at the schools. They are all wonderful kids, but many of them do not know God. Pray that through our relationships we can show them God’s love and plan for their lives, so that they will come to know Him.
