Q: Why are we doing this on a blog instead of the website?
A: It allows us to post the newsletter on the internet for free. Using a blog also allows for posting from any pc without the need for additional software. Blogs are also more user-friendly.
Q: Why are we posting our newsletter rather than continue to email it?
A: We have had several comments that people cannot open the PDF files that we send by email or that the newsletter emails are cumbersome to download. We hope that this is an acceptable solution.
Q: If I am on the email newsletter list, will I still get an email?
A: Yes, we will send an email notifying everyone that the blog has been updated with the current newsletter articles. All the newsletter email with have is a link to this blog rather than attachments.
Q: If I receive a paper newsletter, how can I change to the email newsletter list?
A: Email the YFC-WI office at yfc@macomb.com. This is much appreciated since this saves paper, ink, labor and postage.
Q: It appears that other news is being posted. How can I tell what was in the newsletter?
A: Since this blog allows us to post information at anytime, newsletter contents will begin with the corresponding month & year abbreviation. (example February 2008 newsletter articles all begin with "Feb08-"). Note that I am also making an effort to post the newsletter articles on the same day and in the same order as they appear on the newsletter. This practice should keep all the articles together.
