We went. We had struggles. We had safety and protection. We worshipped and prayed. We gained an appreciation about the reality of hell. We talked to friends on our phones about Jesus.

We arrived home safe. There are still things to be worked out with members of our group. Pray that God will provide healing and understanding.

What to pray about

• Depth of understanding and maturity of teens seeking God

• A breakthrough of the Holy Spirit to the Bushnell – Prairie City community

• A desire for teens that say they are following Christ to get a hunger for His Word

• For a young man to not put off his trusting in Christ any longer

• Teens that deal with anger in the wrong way and for them to ask God to help them

• Sanity for my wife as we face a very intrusive army of Asian beetles

Answer to Prayers!

Thank you for all of your prayers over the last month! They have been felt and needed. We are

continuing to work with the teens that are struggling emotionally. I am feeling much better, especially after spending Easter weekend in Florida with my family. God has given me opportunities to be in deep conversations with a couple of teens about what is

our most important aim, loving God first above all else.

10th Annual Soup Supper

For the 10th straight year, Bushnell teens served over 100 adults at this year’s Super Duper Soup Supper. Our three main goals are: (1) to raise awareness about what God is doing through YFC in Bushnell, (2) to give teens a chance to serve the adults that support YFC, and (3) to raise some dollars for teens to go on YFC trips and events.

Depth Charge

Teens see evidence of God working around the world and in their world via video. A couple of

Bushnell teens have been sharing their faith and getting ridiculed. Pray for perseverance and good results.

Family Time

We had very needed time away from it all in Florida over Easter with just our family. That is our first ever vacation with just the five of us. It was nice.

Also, we are finalizing the sale of our home April 15 – buyers have sold theirs – BIG answer to prayer!

10th Annual Souper Duper Soup Supper

Fri., March 5th, 2010

Location: Community Christian Center, Bushnell

Time: 6:00 pm

Cost: Adults $4 and Youth $2

Come join us for supper. We’ll have 3 soups to

choose from including chili with drinks and dessert.

You’ll also learn about what YFC is doing in the

Bushnell-Prairie City area during our program.

Come meet our youth and share an evening with us!

Advance tickets are available from Bushnell area Jr. & Sr. High Campus Life students.

Feb10-Prayer/Wish List

* Pray for the Golf Outing Committee as we come together to plan this year’s outing. If you are

interested in helping with the outing or volunteering the day of the outing, please contact Todd,

Ken or Deanna.

* Pray for facility repairs. We are replacing the water heater and looking at other needed repairs.

Again, if you are able to help, please contact the office. We’d love to plan a “work day” too!

* Praise - We are so thankful for those individuals that helped clean up branches due to the wind

damage this past fall and helped with snow removal.

* Pray for staffing at YFC-Macomb. We are still interested in the possibility of hiring another

part-time staff member. Please feel free to refer people you know.

Ministry Happenings -

• Praise God for all of the volunteer leaders we have helping to reach-out to teens in Bushnell.

We had a great retreat in late January with 2 staff and 6 adults attending.

• Praise God for more potential volunteer leaders to work with teens.

• A Campus Life teen brought attention about a local billboard that unintentionally breeds negative thoughts

about our community to the city council.

• Working with troubled teens in Bushnell – going through the fire with them.

• I had a chance to speak at Faith Bible Camp in Yates City during their Junior High winter retreat.

Home update

• Praise God that we were able to move into our new home Feb. 13!

• Pray for the buyers of our old home to be able to sell their home in Bushnell.

• Praise that Michelle got a chance to get away to Florida with my sister for

a long weekend.

Items to pray for

• A couple of teens that attempted to take their own lives that we work with.

• My physical condition – I have been sick lately with different things.

• For God to break through the muck and mire in the lives of the troubled teens. For teens to get a bigger view of what

He can really do and who He really is.
