May-Jun08 - Bushnell Beat

It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago we came on staff with Youth for Christ, a true leap of faith at that time in our lives. Life has not been without it’s many challenges, but God has truly blessed us, protected us, and taken care of our needs over this time period. We would not still be here if it weren’t for your many gifts, time, encouragement, and generosity. We appreciate your generosity and gifts to us while we serve teens in the BPC area. Praise Jesus!!

As we come to the end of this school year, Bushnell can be proud of a couple of outstanding seniors that care about teens. Ricky Barnhill and Tyler Havens have really stepped up this year. They are continually inviting other teens to YFC events, sharing Christ with their friends every opportunity they get, and do things for others out of love for what Jesus has done in their lives. This was evident at our Baccalaureate service in May when Tyler and Ricky shared about what Christ has done in their lives. We at YFC are going to miss their leadership and their heart for following Christ. May the Lord bless them as they seek Him through their college days.

Among many workdays, small trips, and time with teens around Bushnell, YFC is partnering with a couple of local pastors, Dave Eden and Aaron Keller, to go on an “Up North Teen Adventure.” We will be journeying to Wisconsin in mid-July for 4 days and 3 nights with about 15 teens. We are planning and overseeing the trip, which will cost each student around $200. If you would like to give toward this trip specifically, please indicate in your next gift to YFC. We are hoping to reach out to a few teens that do not know Jesus as their Savior and provide uninhibited time for others to connect with our Creator. It is wonderful to be able to work together with men that love the Lord.
